Teen Driver Education - $699
-
A required recorded session that covers program expectations, student responsibilities, the Intermediate Driver Licensing process, and how you can support learning at home.
Watch it before your teen's first class.
-
Live, instructor-led sessions in virtual or small in-person cohorts. We focus on the "why" behind driving decisions, not just memorizing rules.
Topics include safety, risk awareness, decision-making, and understanding traffic laws in real-world contexts.
-
Your teen watches another student drive with a certified instructor. It's like learning by osmosis, but better. Observing real-world decisions helps reinforce classroom concepts and build situational awareness. This requirement is scheduled separately and may occur at different points in the program based on availability.
-
One-on-one driving time with a WA State-certified instructor. Lessons are scheduled after required classroom milestones are met. This is where students apply what they've learned, build confidence, and develop safe driving habits. Scheduling is flexible based on instructor availability.
-
Students must pass the final exam with at least 80% to complete the program and meet Washington State DOL requirements. It covers traffic laws, safe driving practices, and decision-making concepts from class.
-
Hands-on sessions for current and past students covering real-world skills like basic car maintenance, changing a tire, understanding safety features, and buying a car. Not required to complete the program, just helpful for life. Offered as availability allows.

IMPORTANT: Your teen must be at least 15 years old by the first day of class.

How to Enroll
-
Before you can enroll, your teen needs a WDL number. This comes from pre-applying for their Washington State learner permit through the Department of Licensing.
→ Pre-Apply for a Learner Permit (Get WDL Number)
The pre-application is quick, done online, and gives you the WDL number you'll need for enrollment. Your teen doesn't need to physically visit the DOL yet, that happens later when they get their physical permit (required before behind-the-wheel lessons).
-
Pick a cohort date that works for your schedule. Remember: Your teen must be at least 15 years old by the first day of class.
-
Fill out the enrollment form with your teen's information (using their legal name as it appears on their permit or ID). Tuition is due at the time of enrollment.
-
Right after enrollment: You'll receive a welcome email with initial program information and next steps.
10 days before class starts: We'll send a waiver to the DOL on your teen's behalf. After that, your teen can go get their physical permit. Make sure they have it before their first behind-the-wheel lesson.
Closer to your cohort start date: You'll receive another email with important details like:
Parent Orientation link (required before the first class)
Class meeting links (for virtual cohorts) or location details (for in-person)
Communication expectations and how to reach your instructor
Make sure to check your spam folder and add us to your contacts so nothing gets lost.
-
Once you've completed these steps, you're all set. We'll take it from here and make sure you have everything you need before your teen's first class.
